ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team traveled to Roberts Wesleyan University to take on the Redhawks JV squad. The Lakers would drop their 7th match of the year in a 6-0 defeat on the road.
Lakers freshman goalkeeper Emily Neuenschwander (Hamilton, N.Y./ Hamilton) shined in the match with 14 crucial saves that helped mitigate the Redhawks offensive attack. On offense, freshman Avril Cristina Altez (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) had a shot on goal, while Izzy Robson (Newark, N.Y./ Newark) had a chance to score with a shot on goal added to her tally.
The team returns home this Sunday, September 24th for a match with the SUNY Broome Hornets at 12 PM. The Lakers will be recognizing their graduating sophomores in the match as well.
