Bio

After guiding the Finger Lakes Community College women’s soccer team on an interim basis during the spring 2021 season, head coach David Campbell entered his first full season as the Lakers head coach for the fall 2021 season.

In the Fall of 2022, Campbell's squad made waves at the national level, upsetting nationally ranked #4 Genesee Community College. The following week, the Lakers earned their first national ranking of the year, coming in at #7 in NJCAA Division III. The Lakers would draw the #4 seed heading into the NJCAA Region III playoffs. Campbell's team would stun the visiting Herkimer Generals in the semifinal round with a game-winning strike off the foot of freshman Ella Lewis (Lyndonville, N.Y./Lyndonville) in double overtime. The win would send the Lakers to the NJCAA Region III Championship game for the first time since 2016.

Campbell has been coaching soccer for the last 15 years. His previous coaching experience includes coaching both boys and girls youth programs through Cobras FC, FC Dynamo Club, and YLS Academy. He served three years as a board member for Cobras FC, including taking on the roles of the registrar, treasurer, and tournament director. Campbell also spent four years coaching the Aquinas Institute boy's soccer program in Rochester, N.Y.

Campbell, who played collegiate soccer at Buffalo State College, holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) “D” coaching license. He currently resides in Rochester with his wife, Dana, and their children Madelyn, Mia, and Joshua.
