Allaysha Grady Ties for First in High Jump for Women's Track

UTICA, N.Y. — The Finger Lakes Community College women's outdoor track and field participated in their fourth meet of the 2021 spring season at Mohawk Valley Community College Saturday afternoon.

Several student-athletes set season-best times/performances during the competition.

For the first time this spring, sophomore Allaysha Grady tied for first place in the high jump with a season-best effort of 1.34 meters. She also placed second in the 100-meter hurdles (season-best time of 19.93 seconds) and the triple jump (8.67 meters), while logging a fourth-place finish in the long jump (3.85 meters).

Freshman Chyra Patterson (Bronx, NY) placed second in both the 100 (a season-best time of 14.40 seconds) and the 200 meters (30.85 seconds), and was third in the long jump (a season-best 3.92 meters) for the Lakers.

FLCC closes out the 2021 season on Sunday, April 25 back at Mohawk Valley Community College in the Region 3 championships.
