Allaysha Grady Wins Three Regional Track and Field Titles

UTICA, N.Y. — The Finger Lakes Community College women's outdoor track and field concluded its 2021 spring season at the Region 3 championships Sunday afternoon, with sophomore Allaysha Grady winning three regional titles during the competition at Mohawk Valley Community College.

Grady and freshman Chyra Patterson (Bronx, NY) combined for 11 top three finishes as the Lakers scored 91 points to place second as a team.

Grady finished first in the 100-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 18.95 seconds, and she also captured the javelin throw (18.40 meters) and the pole vault (1.35 meters). Grady also placed second in the 400 meters (1:16.24), the triple jump (8.5 meters) and the high jump (1.32 meters) and was third in the 100 (14.93).

Patterson finished second in the 100 (14.92) and the 200 meters (31.60), was third in the 400 (1:16.45) and the long jump (3.83) and placed fourth in the javelin (11.71).
