Lakers Fall to Cannoneers 3-2

Canandaigua, NY – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Volleyball team fell to Jefferson Community College last night.  The game went all five set (25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 23-25, 11-15).  The Lakers jumped out early, winning the first two sets with ease.  Following the second set, the Cannoneers changed their line-up and things started to click for Jefferson.  The Cannoneers would go on to win the next three set to claim victory over the Lakers.

Celyna Levesque led the Lakers with 11 kills and 9 digs.  Brianne Avery and Aubrey Davis set a well balanced offense with 67 and 64 assists respectively.  Libero Katee Martinez would lead the team in digs with 21 on the night. 

With the loss the Lakers fall to 3-4 overall.  They will travel this Saturday to Columbia-Greene Community College for the Columbia-Greene POD matches.  They will faceoff against Hudson Valley CC, North Country CC, SUNY Adirondack, and Columbia-Greene CC.  The first match is set to start at 9am.
