Sophomore Night for Women's Volleyball

Canandaigua, NY  --  The Finger Lakes Community College faced Tompkins Cortland Community College at home last night. The Lakers won in three sets to their regional opponent. This was a special night for to specific individuals on the team.  Sophomores Aubrey Davis and Audra Beechler were being recognized at last nights sophomore night.

Audra Beechler came to Finger Lakes as a transfer and has played very well for the Lakers thus far this year. Beechler has played in all 24 games this season for the Lakers. She is 4th in kills (76) for the team and 2nd in digs (169).  Beechler also has 19 aces on the season.

Aubrey Davis is the only returning player from last years team and she has played a big part in the Lakers success for both years.  She has played in 64 games for the Lakers in her college career. Davis now holds the career record for most assists in a career with 1193.  This year, she had recorded 21 solo blocks and 61 block assists for the Lakers.  

Both sophomores have achieved much during their careers at Finger Lakes Community College.  We wish them both great success for the remainder of the season and luck with their future endevours down the road.  Thank you for being a part of the Lakers family!
