Women's Volleyball Claims Victory at Dig For The Cure Game

Canandaigua, NY -- The Finger Lakes Community College women's volleyball team defeated Region III opponent, Genesee Community College on Wednesday, October 13.  The Lakers took the match in four sets: 25-19, 14-25, 26-24, 25-19.

McKenna Guarasce and Madison Joseph controlled the net on Wednesday with nine kills apiece. Joseph also added 22 digs during the contest.  Katee Martinez and Katie DeJonge finished with 20 digs and 19 digs, respectively. DeJonge added five kills on the match. Brianne Avery completed the night with 14 assists and 11 digs.

Following Wednesday's contest, The Lakers will compete in their final Region III POD of the regular season.  They will travel to Broome Community College on Saturday, October 15 to face Tompkins Cortland CC, Broome CC, and Corning CC.  POD play begins at 10am.
