The women's volleyball team finished their weekend POD play 2-1 at Genesee Community College on Saturday, October 1. The Lakers are now 13-7 overall.
In their first match of the day, The Lakers defeated Mohawk Valley Community College in five sets: 24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-9. Next up, the Lakers fell to Fulton-Montgomery Community College in three sets: 16-25, 14-25, 20-25. In their final match-up of the day, the Lakers defeated Herkimer College in four sets: 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-4.
Lindsey Howell dominated the net last weekend with 33 total kills. Madison Joseph and Katie DeJonge had 28 kills apiece. Katee Martinez finished the day with 88 total digs, including another single game dig record of 44 digs against Mohawk Valley CC. Madison Joseph would add another 37 digs for the Lakers. Brianne Avery finished with 81 assists.
The Lakers will return to action on Wednesday, October 5 when they host the Panthers from Tompkins Cortland Community College on Putt Moore Court. Game time is set for 6pm.
