Women's Volleyball Drops MSAC Semifinals

The Lakers traveled to Jefferson Community College last Saturday, October 22 to compete in the Mid-State Athletic Conference tournament as the number three seed.  

The Lakers faced the second seeded Hornets from Broome Community College and lost in four sets: 12-25, 22-25, 29-27, and 17-25. Madison Joseph and Lindsay Howell led the Lakers in kills with 12 and 10, respectively. Joseph added 20 digs in Saturday's contest.  Katee Martinez finished with 17 digs on the day, bringing her career total to 990.  Taiya Iniguez had 28 assists and 12 digs against the Hornets.  

The Lakers will travel to Niagara County Community College to compete in the 2016 NJCAA Region III Volleyball Championship on October 29 and 30.  The fourth seeded Lakers will face Corning Community College, Erie Community College, and Fulton Montgomery Community College on Friday, October 29.  Winners will advance to the Semifinal round on Saturday, October 30 at 11 a.m. and the Finals at 1pm.
