Canandaigua, NY -- The Finger Lakes Community College volleyball team opened their season with a sweep of Onondaga Community College on Wednesday at Putt Moore Court.  The Lakers took Wednesday nights sets with scores of 25-11, 25-18, 28-26.

Leading the way for the Lakers was sophomore co-captain Madison Joseph (Honeoye Falls, NY) with eight kills and 11 digs. Freshman Taiya Iniguez (Jackson, CA) had four kills and 14 assists.  Sophomore co-captain Katee Martinez (Helper, UT) finished with 11 digs. McKenna Guarasce (Lacona, NY) and Princess Santos Rochester, NY) had five kills apiece.   

The Lakers, now 1-0, will travel to Jefferson CC on Saturday, September 3 to play in a weekend POD beginning at 10am.
