Two Lakers Named to NJCAA All-Region III Teams

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - Two Lakers from the Finger Lakes Community College Volleyball team were named to NJCAA All-Region III teams. Brandy Morrison was selected for the Second Team, and Katie Harmon was selected for the Third Team. 

Harmon and Morrison are both freshman on this year's volleyball team and have found success in their time at Finger Lakes. 

Harmon is an outside hitter, a middle, and a right side hitter. This season she has 309 kills, a .203 hitting percentage, five assists, 34 service aces, 250 digs, and 37 blocks. She is currently fifth in NJCAA Region III in kills per set with 3.29, and sixth in kills. She is sixth in Lakers Volleyball history in kills in a season as well. 

Morrison is a middle, an outside hitter, and a right side hitter. This season she has 306 kills, a .371 hitting percentage, four service aces, 49 digs, and 54 blocks. She is currently eighth in NJCAA Region III in kills per set with 2.76, seventh in kills, and is leading the region in hitting percentage. As of right now, she has the highest hitting percentage in a season in Lakers Volleyball history.
