Lakers Sweep Conference Opponent

AUBURN, N.Y. – Finger Lakes Community College Women's Volleyball picked up a conference win Saturday, Oct. 9th at Cayuga Community College. The Lakers picked up the win in three sets, 25-7, 25-23 and 25-17 improving the Lakers record to 10-3. 

The Lakers were led by Sophomore Brandy Morrison (Macedon, N.Y./ Palymra-Macedon) who added 17 kills and 4 digs. Freshman Alyssa Johnson (Palymra, N.Y./ Palymra-Macedon) was a big contributor for the Lakers with 2 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces and 19 assists on the afternoon.

A consistent contributor, Freshman Emer O'Brien (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) added 1 kill, 12 digs, 1 ace and 1 assist while Freshman Jenna Wallace (Baldwinsville, N.Y./ Baldwinsville) had a day, adding 1 dig and 20 assists to the Lakers total.

The Lakers win improves their conference record to 4-2. The team has a quick turnaround, when they travel to SUNY Adirondack Sunday, Oct. 10th. The Lakers first match is against SUNY Adirondack at 12 P.M. and then Fulton-Montgomery Community College at 2:30 P.M.
