Women's X/C Faces Stiff Competition

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's cross country team competed in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan College Saturday morning. In a crowded field of teams and runners ranging from NJCAA Division III all the way up to NCAA Division I institutions, the Lakers held their own, led by freshman Leah Lloyd (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) and classmate Elizabeth Rose. Lloyd completed the 5k course in 20 minutes, 8.2 seconds to finish 48th, while Rose ran in 20:53 to place 75th. Freshman Ericka Moody rounded out the FLCC competitors, running in a time of 35:30.8. 

The women return to competition on Saturday when they travel to Cazenovia College for the Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational. The 5K race starts at 11 a.m.
