Laker's Runner Earns 2nd Place Finish

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Cross Country traveled to Cazenovia College on Saturday, Oct. 2^nd for the Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational. Lakers Women's Cross Country has not disappointed thus far this season, and this event was no exception to that.

The Lakers had one student-athlete compete on the 5k course, that was Freshman Leah Lloyd (Macedon, N.Y./ Palmyra-Macedon) and in another impressive performance, Lloyd earned a 2^nd place finish, completing the course in 21 minutes and 19 seconds. This finish adds to a pair of 1^st place finishes for Lloyd so far on the season.

Women's Cross Country will continue their impressive run when the team travels to Hamilton College for the Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 9^th with a 11 A.M. start time. This will be the Laker's last meet before they compete in the Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) Championship at Tompkins Cortland Community College on Oct. 23^rd.
