Laker's Runner Earns 2nd Place Finish

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Cross Country traveled to Cazenovia College on Saturday, Oct. 2nd for the Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational. Lakers Women's Cross Country has not disappointed thus far this season, and this event was no exception to that.

The Lakers had one student-athlete compete on the 5k course, that was Freshman Leah Lloyd (Macedon, N.Y./ Palmyra-Macedon) and in another impressive performance, Lloyd earned a 2nd place finish, completing the course in 21 minutes and 19 seconds. This finish adds to a pair of 1st place finishes for Lloyd so far on the season.

Women's Cross Country will continue their impressive run when the team travels to Hamilton College for the Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 9th with a 11 A.M. start time. This will be the Laker's last meet before they compete in the Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) Championship at Tompkins Cortland Community College on Oct. 23rd.
