Calder Earns Top Ten Finish to Lead Lakers at Bruce Bridgeman

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's and women's cross country teams hosted their first home meet of the season with the annual Bruce Bridgeman Invitational.  

On the men's side, freshman Zachary Lester earned the top finish for the Lakers, coming in 16th with a time of 31:28.1. Following behind Lester was fellow teammate MacNeil Ruston who earned a time of 35:11.6. Rounding out the day for the men's team was Noah Mattison (Marion, N.Y./ Marion) who earned a commendable time of 59:54.3. 

On the women's side, freshman Megan Calder (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) shined with a top-10 finish coming in 10th place with a time of 25:16. Following behind Calder was sophomore Morgan Cheney (Pultney, N.Y./ Prattsburgh) who earned a time of 29:22.9, good for a 19th place finish. Rounding out the day for the Lakers women's squad was freshman Annaliece Kreuzer (Sodus, N.Y./ Sodus) who finished with a time of 37:31.5. 

A strong finish for both teams set them up for a strong showing at the Harry F. Andersen Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan University next Saturday, September 23rd.
