Lakers Cross Country Competes at Harry F. Anderson Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's and women's cross country teams hit the road for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan University Saturday morning.

On the men's side, Zachary Lester earned the top finish with a commendable time of 30:10.1. Not too far behind, sophomore Noah Mattison (Marion, N.Y./ Marion) would round out the day for the men's squad, finishing with a time of 53:59.4.

The women's squad would shine in the 5k with freshman Megan Calder (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) leading the charge, clocking in at a brisk 22:59.6. Following Calder was sophomore teammate Morgan Cheney (Pultney, N.Y./ Prattsburgh) who completed her race with a strong time of 25:57. 

Overall, it was a strong day for both squads who will enjoy some time off before their next race on October 7th at Houghton University for the Houghton Highlander Invitational.
