AUBURN, N.Y – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team brought home another conference win on Wednesday, against the Cayuga Community College Spartans. The Lakers won 69-47.
The Lakers started out behind at the end of the first quarter and at the end of the half. IT wasn't until the second half that the Lakers picked it up. They stepped up their defense and only allowed 15 points from the Spartans in the entire second half. The Lakers found more of a rhythm on offense as well scoring 40 points in the second half to win it.
The Lakers shot 37% in the field while the Spartans only shot 27%. The Lakers were the only team to make any three pointers, and shot with a 31.3%.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Ranaveya Richards with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Sarah Lacey with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
