Finger Lakes Swept by Erie

CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Community College Baseball team lost to Erie Community College on Thursday by the scores of 8-0 and 3-0. Finger Lakes is now 8-16 on the season. 

The Lakers struggled to get anything going against the Kats starting pitcher. They were retired 15 times via the strikeout. Erie pushed one run across in the fourth and broke the game open with a seven run seventh inning for the 8-0 win. Danny D'Eletto, Ryan Juergens, and Kenny Urbanik all had hits for Finger Lakes. 

In Game 2, Erie plated a pair of runs in the first inning. They would add a run in the fifth and hold Finger Lakes scoreless as Erie would win 3-0. Matt Horne had a pair of hits for the Lakers. Derick Fera allowed only four hits in six innings and struck out for Erie batters. Danny D'Eletto and Cameron Heasley also added hits. Dalton Murray doubled for the Lakers for his first collegiate hit.

The two teams will meet again on Friday, this time in Buffalo, NY, to close the season series. First pitch is set for 1pm.
