Lakers Finish 1-3 Against Onondaga in Four Game Series

The FLCC baseball team traveled to Onondaga Community College on Sunday, April 23 to battle the Lazers in the final two games of their four game series.  The Lakers were defeated in both games by scores of 4-3 and 6-1.

By the start of the fourth inning of game one both teams were deadlocked at two runs apiece.  The game would remain tied through eight innings.  The Lakers were able to score a run in the top of the ninth inning, but gave up two runs to the Lazers to end the game 4-3.  

In game two, the Lakers were outscored 6-1 against the Lazers.  Nick Ferrino finished 2-for-3. Austin Teets, Jake Rugaber, Brett Otto, Trevor Bradshaw, and Mike Magnanti each finished with one hit apiece.  Otto and Teets both hit doubles, while Rugaber added the lone RBI.

Following this weekends series against the Lazers, the Lakers will travel to Monroe Community College to face the Tribunes in a double header contest on Tuesday, April 25. The first pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
