Lakers Extend Win Streak to Seven with Sweep Over Westmoreland County

YOUNGWOOD, PA. – The Finger Lakes offense came alive in the opener at Westmoreland County Community College, racking up 17 hits with multiple players delivering big performances at the plate. Brennen Russo (East Irondequoit, N.Y./Eastridge) tripled and collected 3 hits, while Jeffrey Broadnax (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) and Joey Sanna (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) each drove in 3 runs. Nate Hill (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) continued his hot streak, finishing 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Trey Buchholz (Shinglehouse, Pa./Bolivar Richburg) added 2 RBIs, and Christian Morrison (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) chipped in a pair of doubles and an RBI.

On the mound, Conner Ernest (Wilson, N.Y./Wilson) started the game, and Charlie Cross (Stockbridge Valley, N.Y./Stockbridge Valley), Dom Morsch (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili), and Nathan Power (Victor, N.Y./Victor) closed it out, helping the Lakers secure the win.

In game two, the Lakers took control early and never looked back.
