Genesee Downs Finger Lakes 3-1
CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Men's Soccer team fell to Genesee Community College on Wednesday by the score of 3-1. The Lakers are now 4-10-3 on the season and 3-5 in Region III West.
The Cougars got out of the gate fast, scoring two goals in the opening eight minutes. The continued to control the first half, outshooting the Lakers 11-3 in the half. The margin would widen in the second half when Genesee got their third goal in the 65th minute. Finger Lakes would get on the board in the 83rd minute when Nathan Paull would find AJ Carselli for the goal. It was Carselli's first goal of his college career. Genesee would hold on though for the 3-1 win.
Finger Lakes will close out their 2013 campaign next Tuesday as they travel to Roberts Weslyan College to take on the Redhawks' JV squad. Kickoff from Rochester, NY is scheduled for 4pm
