Lakers Fall at Home

CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Men's Soccer team fell at home on Wednesday to Jamestown Community College by the score of 2-0. It was the first regional loss for the Lakers who now stand at 4-1 in Region III.

The Jayhawks got onto the scoreboard early netting a goal in the 6th minute. They would answer again in the 21st minute for a 2-0 advantage, that they would carry into halftime. The Jayhawks defense held the Laker attack back in the second half and conceded only three shots in the second half on their way to a 2-0 victory over the Lakers.

Mitchell Stuerrys came in at halftime for Finger Lakes and stopped all five shots he faced in the second half.

The Lakers will conclude their homestand this Saturday when they face Cayuga Community College. The Spartans are currently undefeated on the season. Kickoff is set for 3pm.
