Men's Soccer Snaps Losing Streak at Home

Canandaigua, NY -- The men's soccer team snapped their three game losing streak after defeating the Jayhawks from Jamestown Community College at home on Wednesday, September 21.  With the victory, the Lakers improves their record to 4-4 on the season.

It was a very physical battle for both teams from the start of the contest.  Both defenses held their own, keeping the score tied 0-0 going into the half.  Finally, in the 57th minute of play, Brandon Valentin scored off a through pass from Will Skinner.  Skinner would get a goal of his own in the 83rd minute via a header off a Tanner Pierce corner kick.  The Laker would hold on to claim victory over the Jayhawks, 2-0.Easton Moore had six saves for the Lakers.

The Lakers will host the Spartans from Cayuga Community College on Saturday, September 24. Game start is set for 1pm.
