Lakers Fall to Conference Opponent in Regional Playoffs

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Soccer season came to an end Wednesday, Oct. 27th with a 4-0 loss to the Lazers of Onondaga Community College. The #5 seed Lakers fell to the #4 seed Lazers in the Region III, Division III playoffs. The team concludes their season, finishing with a record of 11-6. 

The Lazer defense held strong against the Lakers attack. Freshman Chuck Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester) had 4 shots while Russell Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester) had 2 shots and Carson DeVinney (Perry, N.Y./ Perry) had 1 shot.

Freshman Goalie Mike Rasciatore (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester) made 10 saves and Freshman Goalie Josh Hadcock (Mexico, N.Y./ Mexico) made 6 saves in relief.

Thanks to their stellar play, sever lakers earned All-Region Selections. Freshman Striker Chuck Domm earned a 1st team selection while teammate Russell Domm earned a 1st-team selection as well.

Freshman Evan Stevely (Rochester, N.Y./ Bishop Kearney) had a great season for the team, earning a 2nd-team All-Region selection and on the defensive end, Freshman Kayden Servais (Holley, N.Y./ Holley) rounded out the the Lakers honors with a 2nd-team selection.

The Lakers conclude their historic season with a record of 11-6 as they look ahead to hitting the pitch in the Fall of 2022.
