ELMA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team traveled to Sahlen Stadium in Elma, N.Y. for a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region III matchup with the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks.
The Lakers would drop their matchup against the Jayhawks, 4-0, dropping their record to 1-0 in the season opener. Student-athletes Aidan Smith (Corning, N.Y./ Corning-Painted Post), Schuyler Cole (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott), and Aidan Vitticore (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) each had 1 shot on goal apiece in the matchup.
Gavin Fernaays (Williamson, N.Y./ Williamson) and Donovan Youmans would split time in the goal, with Fernaays making 4 saves in goal, while Youmans would add 2 saves.
