BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team traveled to SUNY Broome Community College Sunday afternoon for a Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) matchup with the Hornet. The Lakers put together one of their strongest efforts on offense this season, but would still fall short, 7-4.
Sophomore Schuyler Cole (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott) put together the strongest individual performance for the Lakers thus far on offense this season. Cole would score off from an assist from Lautaro Brehm (Martinez, Buenos Aires/ Instituto Maria Auxiliadora). Cole would also set up the remaining three goals scored in the matchup, with assists to Aidan Smith (Corning, N.Y./ Corning-Painted Post), Aidan Vitticore (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua), and Julian Distant (Rochester, N.Y./ Hilton).
Lakers Freshman Donovan Youmans (Addison, N.Y./ Addison) played all 90 minutes in the match, making 3 saves for the team.
The team will await their next matchup on Saturday, October 1st at home when the Onondaga Lazers come to town.
