CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team hosted the 6-2 Lazers in the Laker's multi-use turf facility.
The Lakers would struggle against the Lazers attack, as they would jump out to a 2-0 lead after the break. The Lazers would quickly tack on 2 more goals before Freshman Lautaro Brehm (Martinez, Buenos Aires/ Instituto Maria Auxilliadora) would break open the score for the Lakers with a header over the keeper to make the score 4-1. However, the Lakers were unable to put together a comeback effort, ultimately dropping the matchup, 6-1.
Lakers Freshman goalie Donovan Youmans (Addison, N.Y./ Addison) earned the start in goal, making 8 saves on 14 shots on goal.
The Lakers hit the road this Wednesday, October 5th for a matchup with the Hawks of Mohawk Valley Community College at D'Alesandro Stadium at 7:30 PM.
