Domann and Rocha Power Lakers to 9-0 Victory

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team continued their strong form, defeating Elmira College JV with an emphatic 9-0 victory. This win pushes the Lakers to a 6-3-3 record as they put on a dominant offensive and defensive display.

The scoring opened early with Ben Domann (Wuppertal, Germany/Gesamtschule Barmen) leading the charge, netting a hat trick for the Lakers. Domann was highly effective in front of goal, scoring three of his four shots on target. Joao Antonio Rocha (Sergipe, Brazil/Colegio Master) played a pivotal role, contributing one goal and four assists, orchestrating the attack with precision. Robin Giesing (Essen, Germany/Gymnasium-Essen-Warden), Carlos Aguiar (Sergipe, Brazil/Colegio Amadeus), and Juan Mercado Cano (Toluca, Mexcio/Unitec) each added a goal to the tally, while Ben Berger (Weil am Rhein, Germany/Kaufmannische Schule Lorrach) chipped in with two assists to support the offense.

On the defensive side, the Lakers held Elmira College JV without a shot on target, with goalkeeper Ignacio Jimenez (Bogota, Colombia/San Bartolome la Merced) making two saves to secure the clean sheet.

The Lakers return to action this Saturday, September 28th as they return home to host the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings at 1 PM on the FLCC Multi-use Turf.
