Dominant Performance Lifts Lakers to 6-1 Win Over SUNY Adirondack

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team improved to 8-3-3 with a 6-1 win over SUNY Adirondack Community College Sunday afternoon in a Region III matchup at the FLCC Multi-use Turf Facility. 

The Lakers got off to a strong start, with Robin Giesing (Essen, Germany/Gymansium-Essen-Warden) opening the scoring at the 18' matrk off an assist from Ben Domann (Wuppertal, Germany/Gesamtschule Barmen). Just moments later, Joao Antonio Rocha (Sergipe, Brazil/Colegio Master) doubled the lead, scoring from a well-placed pass by Giesing. 

In the second half, Domann continued his stellar play, netting a goal at the 47' mark with an assist from Bernardo Reffiel Del Castel (Sergipe, Brazil/Pro-mundo). While Adirondack pulled one back at the 53' mark, the Lakers quickly responded. Giesing and Ben Berger (Weil am Rhein, Germany/Kaufmannische Schule Lorrach) added to the scoreboard, with assists coming from Domann and Rocha, respectively. Giesing would complete his hat trick at the 65' mark, with Carlos Aguiar (Sergipe, Brazil/Colegio Amadeus) assisting, sealing the dominant win for the Lakers. 

Harry Eastwick (Christchurch, New Zealand/St. Thomas of Canterbury College) stood strong in goal, making one save on two shots for the Lakers. 

The Lakers have a quick turnaround, as they cap off their third-straight match tomorrow, September 30th at home against Bryant & Stratton – Rochester at 6 PM.
