Lakers Complete Successful Outing at Colgate
The Finger Lakes Men's and Women's Track Teams competed at the Colgate University Class of '32 Invitational on Saturday.
The Lakers had 10 top-5 finishes and recorded 3 new personal records.
For the men's team Memphis Lohnes won the Pole Vault with a new PR of 3.80 meters (12 feet, 5.5 inches). He also ran the 200m dash in 26.01 and was in the 4 x 400 meter relay with Giovanni Ventura, Jake Williams and Trevor Walker which finished with a time of 4:03.36 for 3rd place.
Hunter Zangerle was the winner of the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.83 meters (38 feet, 9.75 inches) and placed 2ndin the Long Jump with 6.06 meters (19feet, 10.75 inches).
Giovanni Ventura placed 2nd in the 800 meters finishing in 2:12.23. JT Zimmerman placed 4th in the 3000 meters in a new PR of 9:54.97.
Jake Williams ran the 200 meter dash in 27.15. Jacob DiGiovanni ran the Mile in 5:40.31 and the 1000 meter in 3:33.79. Trevor Walker ran the 300 meter dash in 42.37.
The women's team was represented by Leah Lloyd and Morgan Ward.
Lloyd Placed 2nd in the 3000 meters with a new PR of 11:32.02 and was 4th in the Mile in 5:41.01. Ward placed 3rd in the Pole Vault clearing 2.00 Meters (6'6.75")
The Lakers now begin training for the Spring Season opener at the Geneseo Invite being held April 2, 2022.
