
Lakers Shine with Personal Bests at Brockport Invitational
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - With the indoor season in full swing, the Finger Lakes Community College track and field team continued to make strides at the Brockport Multi & Invitational, posting several personal records and a regional qualifier.
Jadah McCarthy led the way in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 8.77, while Dhmya Brown-Thomas clocked in at 9.24. On the men's side, Terreque Davis posted the top Laker time at 7.63, followed by Dylan Peck at 8.02, Charles Sherman at 8.27, and Edwin Del Angel at 8.71. In the 200-meter dash, Jadah McCarthy ran 29.41, while Dhmya Brown-Thomas crossed at 30.41. Madisyn Everdyke finished in 32.04. The men's sprinters saw Charles Sherman run 26.71, Dylan Peck at 26.78, Edarius Trimble at 27.13, Timothy Trost at 28.33, and Edwin Del Angel at 29.50.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Terreque Davis clocked a time of 9.47, while Madisyn Everdyke finished in 11.14. The Lakers also had strong performances in the 400-meter dash, where Edarius Trimble ran 59.50 and Timothy Trost finished in 1:03.48. The 800-meter run saw Kayla Dunstan cross the line at 3:13.48, earning a regional qualification. Alana Bedell finished at 3:37.43, while Griffin Miller ran 2:35.37 and William Andrew finished at 2:37.77. In the mile run, Kayla Dunstan improved her time to 6:54.93, Alana Bedell finished at 7:35.97, and Griffin Miller clocked in at 5:37.89.
In the field events, Charles Sherman landed a jump of 5.33m (17'6") in the long jump, while Terreque Davis cleared 1.76m (5'9.25") in the high jump.
The Lakers will now turn their focus toward the next phase of the indoor season at Onondaga Community College on March 1st.
