Men's X/C Earns 4th Place
CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Finger Lakes Community College Men's Cross Country concluded their meet Saturday, Oct 2nd at the Cazenovia College Homecoming with a 4th place team finish on the day.
Sophomore Giovanni Ventura (Geneva, N.Y./ Geneva) had the best finish on the 8k course for the Lakers, completing it in 31 minutes and 48 seconds on the afternoon, logging a 7th place finish. Following his teammate, Freshman Kyle Green finished 22nd with a time of 34 minutes and 21 seconds.
Freshman John Zimmerman had the third-best finish for the Lakers, finishing 26th with a time of 34 minutes and 52 seconds. Following him was Garett Lagenor, finishing 31st with a time of 35 minutes and 51 seconds and Jacob DiGiovanni finishing 32nd at 35 minutes and 58 seconds. Freshman Jake Williams rounded on the event with a 38th place finish and a time of 38 minutes and 13 seconds.
Men's Cross Country travels to Hamilton College on Oct. 9th for the Hamilton College Invitational beginning at 12 P.M. This will conclude the regular season for the Lakers before they embark to Tompkins Cortland Community College on Oct. 23rd for the Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) Men's Cross Country Championship.
