Lakers Hit the Road for the Houghton Highlander Invitational

HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The Lakers hit the road for Houghton University for the 2023 Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning. The women's 5k kicked off at 11 AM followed by the men's 8k shortly thereafter.

On the men's side, Zachary Lester delivered an impressive performance, finishing the race with a time of 30:01.9. Teammate Noah Mattison showed determination, completing the race with a time of 48:56.6. On the women's side, Megan Calder (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) led the pack for the team, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:11.7. Fellow teammate Morgan Cheney (Pultney, N.Y./ Prattsburgh) finished with a commendable time of 30:29.9.

After having a week off and not competing last weekend, the Lakers are back in form and will look to continue to improve next weekend at the Mike Woods Invitational at Geneseo College on Saturday, October 14th.
