Ranaveya Richards Named 2nd Team All-American

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – Sophomore Women’s Basketball Player, Ranaveya Richards, has been named as a 2nd Team All-American.

Richards has had two outstanding seasons with the Lakers. This past season was her best in her two years.

She scored 592 points this season, putting her in third place in season total points history. She averaged 21.1 points per game this season, putting her in second place in season points per game history. She also broke the season assists record with 202. She also grabbed 246 rebounds this season.

Not only did Richards break season records, but she has broken career records as well. Throughout her two year career, she scored a total of 980 points, putting her as the fourth highest point scorer in program history. She is also second in total career assists with 320, and sixth in career rebounds with 368.

This season Richards is in second place in most points scored in a game with 38 points against Cayuga Community College. (1/20/18) She is tied for first with most assists in a game, with 13 against Herkimer College. (11/29/17)

Richards, a guard from Albany, NY was key player for the Lakers in her two years. She will graduate this May with a degree in Physical Education.
