CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - A strong defensive effort and balanced scoring attack propelled Finger Lakes Community College to a 68-49 victory over Tompkins Cortland Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers controlled the glass, out-rebounding TC3 51-38, and locked in defensively to limit the Panthers' rhythm on offense.

Jazzmyn Lewis (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) was everywhere once again, recording a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double while dishing out 6 assists. Eliana Mason (Frederick, MD./New Life Christian) provided a strong offensive presence, finishing with 14 points and 9 rebounds, and Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) controlled the boards with 11 rebounds.

With the win, the Lakers improve to 10-12 (7-6 in conference play). They will return to action tomorrow for another conference matchup with the Onondaga Lazers at home. The Lakers currently sit as the 8th seed in Region III and will look to move up the ladder in the postseason standings with another win tomorrow.
