CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Lakers hosted the visiting William Smith Herons for a non-region matchup in their regular season finale. The Herons would take the win, defeating the Lakers 9-1.
Lakers Freshman Ella Lewis (Lyndonville, N.Y./ Lyndonville) picked up the Laker's lone goal, scoring off from a feed from Sophomore Allie Bowe (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) in the 53rd minute of the match. Lakers Sophomore goalie Grace Hall (Honeoye, N.Y./ Honeoye) made 13 saves in 90 minutes in the goal.
The Lakers now will await their seeding in the NJCAA Region III rankings, and their ultimate opponent in the regional quarterfinals.
