Women's Volleyball Falls in Hard Fought Match

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Finger Lakes Community College women's volleyball ended their winning streak in a loss against Monroe Community College Thursday night. The Lakers fell to the Tribunes in 5 sets, 3-2, ending their winning streak at five. 

The Lakers put up a good fight, but fell to a strong undeafeated MCC squad. Brandy Morrison (Macedon, N.Y./ Palmyra-Macedon) and teammate Emma Sipos (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) led the Lakers on the day. Brandy Morrison added 19 kills and 14 digs while Sipos contributed 11 kills, 14 and 2 aces. 

Oona O'Brien (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) added 8 kills and 15 digs for the Lakers while teammate Emer O'Brien (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) contributed 20 digs and 1 assist to add to the Lakers total. Freshman Jenna Wallace (Baldwinsville, N.Y./ Baldwinsville) had a productive outing adding 14 digs and 42 assists on the day.

The Lakers look to get back on track as they close in on the second half of the regular season.
