Lakers Drop Second Straight Match

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Volleyball team fell to the Katz of Erie Community College Thursday night, 3 sets to none. The Lakers fell 22-25, 24-26 and 20-25 as the Lakers record falls to 11-5 on the season. 

The Lakers were led by Freshman Emma Sipos (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) who added 9 kills and 9 digs while teammate Brandy Morrsion (Macedon, N.Y./ Palmyra-Macedon) followed with 6 kills, 10 digs and 3 block assists.

Freshman Oona O'Brien (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua) played an integeral role in the Lakers attack with 5 kills, 6 digs and 1 ace. Freshman Jenna Wallace (Baldwinsville, N.Y./ Baldwinsville) helped set up her teammates, adding 10 assists and 5 digs, as well as Freshman Alyssa Johnson (Palmyra, N.Y./ Palmyra-Macedon) who added 13 assists and 4 digs for the Lakers. 

After dropping 2 straight matches, the Lakers look to get back on track in their home match against the Barons of Corning Community College on Saturday, Oct. 16th with match start times of 12 P.M. and 2 P.M.
