Women's Volleyball Builds on 2024 Recruiting Class

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's volleyball program has become one of the top teams in the nation at the NJCAA Division III level. After winning their third straight NJCAA Region III Championship and earning their spot in yet another national tournament, the Lakers have begun reloading for another championship run in the fall of 2024.

The Lakers welcomed Emma Balduf, a standout outside hitter from Byron Bergen High School as their most recent signee. Standing at 5'7", Emma's high school career has been nothing short of a success. Balduf is a two-time Genesee Region 1st Team All-Star in 2022 and 2023 as a member of the Bees girl's volleyball program. In 2023, Balduf was recognized as an All-Greater Rochester (AGR) Honorable Mention following an exceptional senior season.

Head coach Andrew Solomon anticipates Balduf will help make an immediate impact for the Lakers, "Emma is a great addition to our 2024 recruiting class. She has extensive volleyball experience and comes from a successful high school program. She has been well coached throughout her career and brings a great skill set to the Finger Lakes women's volleyball program". Balduf will join a talented group of recruits who will all play an important role in another championship run for the FLCC women's volleyball program.
