SAAB Hosts First 'Lakers Supporting Lakers' Event

CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Community College Student-Athlete Advisory Board hosted its first "Lakers Supporting Lakers" night this past Wednesday as the Lakers Basketball teams faced the Spartans from Cayuga Community College. The event encouraged the Student-Athletes of Finger Lakes to come out and support their fellow athletes, showing their Laker Pride.

Wednesday night proved to be one of the highest attended games to date for a regular season basketball game. Student-Athletes in attendance received #LakerPride shirts complements of Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, Holiday Inn Express Victor/Rochester and Homewood Suites Rochester/Victor.

"Lakers Supporting Lakers" is a year-long initiative and competition hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Board. The goal is to create department-wide and campus-wide pride in Finger Lakes Laker Athletics. Teams register at the game and the team with the highest representation of their roster at the end of the academic year will be recognized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Board as the Laker Cup Champion.
